Jake Vanderbroek

Jake is in his second year working with 49ers Cal-Hi Sports. Jake was born and raised in Rochester, NY. After 3.5 years of undergraduate school, Jake earned his Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2018, majoring in Broadcast & Mass Communication. In June 2019, Jake kicked off his career as a Sports Anchor/Reporter at WBKB-TV in Alpena, MI. One of the smallest TV markets in the country, covering high school sports, snowmobile races, fishing tournaments, and the best Northeast Michigan has to offer. Jake won his first broadcasting award in 2020 for “Best Sportscast” by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. When Jake isn’t reporting, you catch him at the links, playing lots of golf or relaxing at the beach.
